Following a national search, Illinois Heartland Library System is very pleased to announce that Cassandra Thompson has accepted the position of SHARE Director.
Ms. Thompson comes to us from the public library sector, with positions in a variety of institutions in different parts of the country and her experience includes using and training with Polaris.
Ms. Thompson will begin work on Monday, January 22. We will be sharing information about meetings dates with SHARE governance and members as soon as those dates have been determined.
IHLS would like to give a special thanks to the interview team as their input was invaluable throughout the search process. Team members include: Leslie Bednar (IHLS Executive Director), Ellen Popit (IHLS Membership Coordinator), Rhonda Johnisee (IHLS Senior Accountant), and Troy Brown (IHLS IT Director), as well as three members of the SHARE Executive Council: April Becker (Hanson Professional Services Incorporated), Scott Drone-Silvers (Lake Land College), and Jill Pifer (Fairview Heights Public Library).
