The Cloud Library shared collection circulated over 15,000 items in the month of March! We’ve also added 10 new members as of April 1st, bringing our grand total of participants up to 182 library agencies. A big welcome to: Bryan-Bennett Library, Crab Orchard Public Library District, Fairfield Public Library, Gilman-Danforth District Library, Herrin City Library, Lebanon Public Library, Rosieclare Memorial Public Library, St. Elmo Public Library, Stinson Memorial Library District, and St. Joseph CCSD #169.

It’s complicated downloading the Cloud Library onto a Kindle Fire. A new handout with detailed instructions for each generation of the Kindle Fire you may encounter has been attached to this email.

Thanks to those libraries that have returned their MyMediaMall renewal form. About half of the MyMediaMall participants have renewed. Please be sure to return you renewal form by Friday, April 15. Questions? Need another copy of the renewal form sent to you? Contact Lesley Zavediuk. Invoices for MyMediaMall will be sent in July, 2016.

EBSCO is providing two web demos on Flipster in the month of April. Flipster is EBSCO’s digital magazine platform. Register for Click, Authenticate, and Flip! on Friday, April 22nd at either 9:00am or 2:30pm to learn more about what Flipster has to offer.

As OCLC works to deliver critical functionality to both WorldCat Discovery and the new version of FirstSearch, access to the current version of FirstSearch will extend beyond the 2016 calendar year into 2017. To receive ongoing updates about enhancements to the WorldCat Discovery service, register for Discovery and Reference email updates.

Uniquely valued by member libraries, FirstSearch will continue to be offered as a separate service. OCLC continues to enhance WorldCat Discovery with features from WorldCat Local and features requested by the WorldCat Discovery community. In addition to ongoing WorldCat Discovery enhancements, OCLC will continue the full-featured WorldCat searching valued in FirstSearch in a new version of FirstSearch. WorldCat Discovery and the new version of FirstSearch will continue as separate services, and FirstSearch search features will also be available to WorldCat Discovery users. WorldCat Discovery remains the user-facing interface to WorldShare Management Services.
