Our shared Cloud Library collection keeps providing more access to eBooks for your patrons. Did you know that in 2015, we circulated over 149,000 eBooks and eAudiobooks? On average, over 12,000 items are being borrowed each month. Still haven’t joined yet or looking for more information? Contact Lesley Zavediuk and she’ll be happy to answer your questions.

Libraries that use a Cloud Library Shopping Cart should have received the 2016 allocation information just before Christmas. Since we’re moving your agreement to the fiscal year, you only have 6 months to spend it. Log in to CAT today and do some shopping!

Polaris Upgrade: As you all know, Polaris upgrades will be installed on Monday, January 18. During the time of the upgrade installation, users will be unable to borrow or place holds on 3M eBooks via the OPAC. The Cloud Library app should be unaffected during this time.

Four libraries took advantage of the additional discount our Zinio rep offered in the month of December. Welcome to Blue Ridge Township, DuQuoin Public, Belleville Public and Lawrence Public – your patrons will love the ease of borrowing eMagazines.

Vendor Offers:
We’re still examining the possibility of providing a group purchase of Wi-Fi hotspots through Sprint and Manage Mobility. After an encouraging meeting with the sales reps, we are working to determine whether or not Sprint coverage serves most of our member libraries (including those in rural Illinois). We’ll make sure you have more detailed information as soon as we get it. In the meantime, if you think you might be interested in participating in a group purchase for wifi hotspot lending, please email Lesley Zavediuk to express that interest (if you haven’t already).
