Lesley Zavediuk: (5/18/2016 12:54) Just a reminder before we begin. You can increase the font size by clicking on the little pull down menu in the upper right hand corner of the chat panel. You will only be increasing the font size for yourself - so feel free to do so if things seem a bit small! :)

Lesley Zavediuk: (12:59) Welcome to SHARE Chat! What would you like to discuss on this lovely (non-rainy) day?

Joe DeVillez: (12:59) Good afternoon everyone

Lesley Zavediuk: (13:01) I'll start with a little reminder. Our next SHARE Circulation forum is Tuesday, May 24 at the Marion Carnegie Library. You can register in L2 if you would like to attend.

Laura: (13:02) Good afternoon

Lesley Zavediuk: (13:03) Are you all getting ready for Summer Reading?

Laura: (13:04) Yes, Our sign up begins on Saturday, June 4th!

Joe DeVillez: (13:05) What is this years summer reading theme?

Esther Curry--C.E. Brehm Memorial PLD: (13:06) Read for the win

Diane - Breese P.L.: (13:06) Read for the Win.

Joe DeVillez: (13:06) I remember that one...it has been a theme before within the past 8 years

Esther Curry--C.E. Brehm Memorial PLD: (13:08) ALA had a theme of Ready, Set, Read (or something similar).

Laura: (13:08) We will be using a sport theme to decorate

Mary @ Hayner: (13:10) Is the Digital Consortia meeting that's coming up on Monday, May 23 @ IHLS the same group that met via chat a couple of weeks ago?

Diane - Breese P.L.: (13:10) There was also a theme 2008 Get in the Game, Read.

Lesley Zavediuk: (13:10) Hi Mary! Yes, it is the same group a long with some of the people who couldn't attend the chat meeting.

Mary @ Hayner: (13:10) Thanks

Esther Curry--C.E. Brehm Memorial PLD: (13:12) Joe--in 2008, the ILA theme was Get in the Game: Read.

Joe DeVillez: (13:13) yeah...I remember that one. I guess they just come up with variations on the themes

Joe DeVillez: (13:13) space, animals, fantasy, etc...

Esther Curry--C.E. Brehm Memorial PLD: (13:15) Yeah, in 2018 it will be Reading takes you Everywhere and 2013 was Have book--will Travel

Lesley Zavediuk: (13:16) I would imagine with all of the events going on during Summer Reading, LEAP will be helpful! Do some of you do checkouts on a tablet when the circ desk is wild?

Sandy West - Rend Lake College: (13:16) Any other libraries doing inventory? Just finished this morning. So far not too many missing items.

Esther Curry--C.E. Brehm Memorial PLD: (13:16) Here's a list of the iREAD themes: https://www.ireadprogram.org/about. They do re-invent themes a few times.

Lesley Zavediuk: (13:24) It's a quiet group today. Any questions or issues you would like to discuss?

Esther Curry--C.E. Brehm Memorial PLD: (13:27) I'm glad to see the numbers of titles for 3M starting to reflect the "new" titles from So. IL Libraries on the Go!

Lesley Zavediuk: (13:28) Yes! Trying to feature some of that content in the app so your patrons can find it!

Lesley Zavediuk: (13:30) We're up to 25,000+ items with a few thousand more set to come in soon. :)

Darlene Barlow at lovingtonpld@gmail.com: (13:34) We are doing "Read For the Win" also, but doing an olympic aspect to it with various sports events throughout the weeks that we meet with the children. Our first day is a "Bicycle Safety Rodeo" event with a safety check on bikes then an obsticle course to ride through with rewards at the end! Should be fun!

Joe DeVillez: (13:36) bicycle obstacle course does sound fun

Kay Burrous South Macon: (13:36) We just received Sidney Community Library's bin. What do we do? We open at 1:30 today.

Lesley Zavediuk: (13:38) Hi Kay! Which hub do you receive delivery from? Is it Champaign?

Kay Burrous South Macon: (13:38) Yes.

Lesley Zavediuk: (13:39) I'd give Chris Janvrin a call, he's at ext. 718. (217-352-0047).

Lesley Zavediuk: (13:39) He's the Operations Manager in Champaign.

Shawn- Elwood Township: (13:42) We are doing our own theme for SRP. Whatever we can afford and what supplies we have left over.

Darlene Barlow at lovingtonpld@gmail.com: (13:42) Who would I get in touch with if I have some books that have been donated to us and I found the book in Polaris but there is not what I need like a paperback ISBN or a Doubleday Publ. name added and I don't know how to do this.

Kay Burrous South Macon: (13:43) Thanks. I left him a message. Our delivery people are really good, I have never had this happen before.

Joe DeVillez: (13:43) One of the catalogers would be able to help you. I would start with Joan Bauer and she might give you a more direct source.

Joe DeVillez: (13:44) Joan's # is (217) 352-0047 ext. 721

Lesley Zavediuk: (13:44) Joan can be reached at: 217-352-0047 ext. 721 You could also try Edie Elliot at ext. 445.

Lesley Zavediuk: (13:44) Looks like Joe and I were racing!

Darlene Barlow at lovingtonpld@gmail.com: (13:46) Thanks so much for your help!

Lesley Zavediuk: (13:49) Looks like we've got about 10 minutes left. Any other questions for the good of the order?

Nick Bennyhoff: (13:52) Darlene, for the book to match, it has to have the same publisher. ISBN doesn't have to match if everything else does. If there isn't a record with the same publisher in Polaris, a record will need to be brought in from OCLC.

Darlene Barlow at lovingtonpld@gmail.com: (13:53) Thank You!

Joe DeVillez: (14:00) That's the time. Have a good afternoon everyone!

Lesley Zavediuk: (14:00) Well - it looks like that's all for today. Have a fabulous afternoon and we'll see you next time.

Mary @ Hayner: (14:00) Thanks

Kathy Goleman -Divernon Township Library: (14:00) Thanks
