Last week, Cloud Library staff members alerted us that the Cloud Library app was no longer compatible with the 1st Generation Kindle Fire. Users that try to download the app onto one of these older devices will receive a “parsing the package” error. The good news is that, thanks to the fabulous Andy Rowe at Belleville Public Library, we’ve discovered a workaround. Patrons that wish to download the app onto a 1st Generation Kindle Fire can use the Slideme.org method. All other Kindle Fire users can still download the current app via: ebook.3m.com.
In order to make the renewal process more efficient for MyMediaMall members this year, we will be sending out renewal information starting in March. Libraries that participate in MyMediaMall may notice an increase to their annual fee. Consortium members have voted to raise participation fees 5% each year for the past two years. If you already know that your library will NOT be renewing participation in MyMediaMall for FY2017 (July 1, 2016 – June 30, 2017) feel free to contact Lesley Zavediuk at any time to let us know. Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks! |
Hotspot Lending Survey:
As of today, over 40 SHARE libraries have taken our Hotspot Lending Survey. Your feedback is important. If you haven’t already, please fill out the survey for your library by Monday, February 15. It should only take about five minutes to complete. Even if you think your library will not want to participate in a group purchase of wifi hotspots, that’s important for the SHARE eResources Committee to know too!
Training:
- SHARE Circulation Forum: Tuesday, February 23 @ Benton Public Library District
- SHARE Circulation & Resource Sharing Chat: Wednesday, February 24 via Adobe Connect
