Accessibility (sponsored by SHARE)
- More obvious focus borders.
- Library staff can now change the focus color and width in the Themes settings.
Automatic confirmation
- Aspen will automatically confirm holds placed on items instead of the patron confirming them.
Searching Admin Settings
- You can now search for specific settings in Aspen Administration. For example, if you search for “facets” you can see every single setting that mentions facets. Search results are affected by permissions.
Freeze Holds (sponsored by SHARE)
- When a patron places a hold, they can freeze it when they submit the request and specify a date for it to thaw.
- Primary Configuration >>Library Systems>> ILS/Account Integration >> check immediate holds freeze.
- Must be enabled by the patron in their account preferences.
Sharing
- Primary Configuration>>Library Systems >> Full Record Display.
- You can enable/disable sharing for Facebook, Pinterest, and X individually.
- Patrons can now share a generic link.
Improved API Documentation
- You can select specific APIs when viewing documentation.
User List Sorting
- You can sort lists by entry type (Events, Lists, Library materials, etc.), material type, and facets.
- You can also print filtered lists.
- You cannot turn a filtered list into a browse category or collection spotlight.
- You also cannot use the “delete all items” feature on a filtered list.
- You cannot change the position of items in a filtered list.
