In fiscal year 2024, SHARE worked hard to ensure every member library received the maximum benefit from their membership. This was accomplished by saving members the cost of expensive software subscriptions, increasing item circulation, and providing first-class support and training. Training
- 23 cataloging training sessions held
- One thousand attendees for training sessions
- 2.6 thousand trainee records reviewed for 25 trainees
Circulation
- SHARE libraries collectively owned 8.4 million items
- SHARE members served 773 thousand patrons
- 1.7 million items were circulated through Inter-Library Loan across SHARE
- 24% of circulation at member libraries was via ILL
Savings
- cloudLibrary cost per circulation was 80% lower than the industry standard
- SHARE members saved between $16,000 and $314,000 in Polaris fees, depending on library type and size
- For every $5 in member fees, SHARE circulated 5.7 items via ILL and served 2.5 patrons
