Manga Policy Draft

Manga

Please note: the policy for Graphic Novels differs from the policy for Manga.

Are you having trouble determining if your material is manga? Check out this blog post from the New York Public Library to learn more.

Rev. 07-2024

The SHARE Bibliographic and Cataloging Standards Committee adopted changes to the “Graphic Novels” policy and the creation of a new “Manga” policy at their July meeting. Please review the policies and reply to this post with any comments or concerns you may have before these policies take effect.

Comments

I see no issues with the changes to policy. Are there any plans to update the existing Manga bib records? If so, would this be something your staff would do for the consortium?
