Revision to Graphic Novels Policy (For Cataloging Library Vote Only)
The American Library Association’s Graphic Novels & Comics Round Table (GNCRT) has published their best practices document that includes a change to for how authors and adapters are recorded in bibliographic records. This proposal reverses the prior translations/adaptations policy so that a work is entered under the original author or creator, rather than the adapter. The adapter is then included as an added entry. The proposed Graphic Novel Policy revision is on the SHARE website.
