We’ve tallied the results of the Zinio subscription survey and we are pleased to announce that we will be adding the following titles as of October 1, 2015:

Bon Appetit Car Craft Cricket Esquire
GQ Highlights for Children Parents Soap Opera Digest
Teen Vogue Vanity Fair Wired

Don’t forget, Us Weekly is currently unavailable through our Zinio subscription. Recorded books is renegotiating to renew the rights. If/when Us Weekly becomes available, we’ll be repurchasing our subscription at a prorated cost.

Tech Notes: 3M sent us the following message regarding the iOS 9 update released for apple devices on September 15. With the release of iOS9 yesterday, we have discovered a bug in the current version (2.2.8) of our iOS app. Patrons who upgrade to iOS9 will be unable to access any categories under the Browse menu. We have a fix for this issue and will make it available to libraries and their patrons as soon as possible. The fix for this bug will be deployed as an update to the 3M Cloud Library app and users should be automatically notified that they need to update.

Amazon released an update to the Silk Browser on the Kindle Fire this week and that has also affected 3M. For users that have not used the 3M Cloud Library yet – the current download process for the app will not work with the updated version of the Silk browser. 3M has provided a work around for Kindle Fire users and we’ll be sending that information out to member libraries later today. Kindle Fire users that already have the app installed on their device should be unaffected.

It’s not too early to start thinking about attending the Library State of Mind Conference in Peoria October 22 – 24, 2015. You might be interested in attending the two panels regarding eResources, below.
