The Cloud Library saw over 29,000 circulations in the month of July! This is the largest number of circs we’ve seen in one month to date and that number is likely to go up in August due to the transfer of items from the Lewis and Clark Digital Consortium. By the end of this week our Cloud Library collection will nearly double in size again, giving your patrons even more to read and listen to!
That’s not the only exciting news for the Cloud Library this week. The new logo has been released and will be transitioned to patron apps sometime in September. Patrons will receive the new logo as a simple app update and it’s quite similar to the old logo. Cloud Library staff have also created a new press kit with customizable templates that you can download and use in your library. Did you know that Zinio participants also have access to OneClickdigital through their annual Zinio subscription? OneClickdigital brings exclusive Recorded Books eAudio titles, as well as content from all major publishers, together with an eBook service. Libraries that belong to our Zinio consortium are welcome to purchase new titles for the OneClickdigital collection at any time. If you’re interested in adding titles to this collection, let me know and I’ll set up a shopping cart for you. Of note, some eAudiobooks through OneClickdigital can be transferred to an MP3 player!

We’re gauging interest in a possible group purchase of Brain HQ from Demco. BrainHQ™ is an easy way to make brain health a priority. Library card holders can access a suite of online exercises designed to stretch the brain in new ways to help participants think faster, focus better and remember more. Demco will be presenting an introductory webinar for public libraries in SHARE on Tuesday, August 9 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm.
