The end of the school year is quickly approaching, and we hope everyone has had a great year.
If you have not already done so, please fill out the Schools-End of the Year form. The last day the IHLS delivery team will be delivering to schools is May 17, 2021. Please note that if we do not receive a form or email from you, your school’s holds and Request Manager will be turned off on May 10, 2021 and back on by August 30, 2021.
Helpful year-end tips:
There are a couple of reports that may help you at the end of the year:
- Items Out to Patrons from Other Libraries
- Patrons with Items Checked Out from Other Libraries
- All the variations of Out-Overdues and Fines
You can access these reports from the Polaris Toolbar: Utilities -> Reports and Notices -> Schools. You may need to hit the refresh button in the top right corner to see all the reports.

If you already have your school calendar for next year, you can also fill out the Closing Dates form and we can get your dates in now. As of now, the plan for the 2021-2022 school year is to return all schools to a “normal” school year. This will include your library’s regular IHLS deliveries, as well as system-wide lending & borrowing. If your library had overdue/billing notices and hold notifications on previously, those will also be turned back on for the 2021-2022 school year. If you have customized a setting since March 2020 and would like to keep it in place, please let me know.
